There is a gentleman at USAJOBS.gov whose job it is to answer concerns about technical issues users are experiencing on the site. His name is Dan Thibodeau, and he is the USAJOBS Web Project Manager and Social Media Director. Dan has been very busy since Tuesday as there are still some “kinks” in the new site software that need worked out and users have been letting him know about the issues. Dan posted the following on the USAJOBS Facebook page at one o’clock this afternoon EST:
“Hi all, I know it’s been a hectic couple of days with trying out the new site. I’ve responded to almost all of you that have submitted questions but I’m still working on it. The good news is that we’ve identified most of the errors you have reported and have fixed many of them, and we’re working on the rest of them. The bad news is that I will have limited access to this page for most of the afternoon as I head to the airport and head back to D.C. I won’t abandon you and leave you totally in the dark, but I will be a little slow responding to you.”
Here is your takeaway:
A man named Dan oversees the jobs site. Dan and his team know there are errors and kinks and are working on it. Is this still frustrating to those of you trying to use the site? I would think so. Please know though your concerns are being heard and the tech guys are working on the problems.
