Trouble at mill! Before we fill you in on the Fitter job details, news in Australia today has Prime Minister Ms Gillard speaking about plans to tackle various labour shortages. Apparently some industries are struggling to find staff to complete their workforce due to competition with the mining sector’s employment drive.
Not only that, the Australian economy is viewed by some politicians as fragile apart from revenue received from the infrastructure and mining industries. According to business leader Mr Stokes, “Retailers, people who are involved in all sorts of activities, are finding it really tough – it’s got all the feelings of a major downturn in the economy”.
Woa there! This is not exactly the news people want to hear if they are trying to escape the doom and gloom back home!
